Early 1953 Studebaker Champion Regal 4 Door
Description
Early 1953 Studebaker Champion Regal 4 door sedan with tristar logos. Serial number indicates it was the 1296 South Bend built Champion that year. This is from an estate and will come with a clear Michigan title. A good solid candidate for a restoration - SOLD AS IS. Not currently running but did last fall. Was originally gray but was painted sometime before 1976 to a red color which is weathered. Front fenders were repaired at that time and are getting rusty again in the usual areas. Trunk floor shows no rust through. There is some limited front floor rust but not as severe as you expect on one of these. Doors do not sag or drop when opened. Hood is kinked/cracked on passenger side by the hinge. Drivers door glass is cracked. Interior was a haven for mice and is poor as shown. Lube sticker on door shows 35,000 miles in 1976 so I ASSUME the 39,522 showing is PROBABLY original but CANNOT guarantee it. Gas tank is removed and needs cleaning and repair. New water pump and belt. Too many projects for me. Winning bidder to give deposit of $500. via Paypal at time of purchase and full payment with 7 days. Buyer responsible for pickup or shipping within 14 days of auction end. Vehicle is located just north of Toledo, Ohio. I have tried to explain the vehicle's condition to the best of my ability; understand that it needs attention including tires and brakes and is not road worthy as is. If you have any questions or difficulty viewing the photos, please ask before bidding. Thanks. |
