Description

This a 1962 Studebaker Lark Station Wagon with resto rod modifications. It has a brand new Mr Goodwrench 350 engine. These engines are brand new from the block up- noused parts. It has power disk brakes on the front and anice shifting 350 turbo transmission. As you can see the engine is dressed out in old school finned aluminum valve covers, air cleaner and vent caps. It has a 4 barrel holly and performance aluminum intake. The new plugs and premium grade wires are protected from the headers by titanium sleeves and real nice R&M billet aluminum wire separators.As I was putting it all together I installed lots of new parts including a new starter, new hoses, clamps, belts, fuel lines and filtersetc. I had the radiator core rebuilt so it has a good defroster and heater. It is dueled out and has super sweet low rumble to the exhaust. I went through the break in procedure exactly as prescribed in the literature that came with the motor but haven't time to put many miles on it so it would be best to not get to crazy with it until it gets a least five or six hundred miles on it.I put brand new GT touring tires on it. The rear tires are one size bigger than the frontin keeping with the old school look. It runs, drivesand sounds fantastic. I'm going to post a virtual drive in it on you tube so you canget a sense of how it runs and drives.The hood is simple to remove and the firewall has smooth curves and rolls. It looks really good with hood off to show off the engine like was common in the fifties.

It has new paint inside and out (actually ithas been paintedfor about 5 years but it been stored inside and still looks fresh)It has a nice straight solid body. Some of the floor panels have been repaired but it looks like a nice solid job. New old stock headlight bezels.The paint was cut and buffed inside and out. I had a professional do the hand pin striping and old school design on the back door. The gentleman who did the pin striping is very well known. He goes to Europe to teachhand pin striping classes.The dash is beautiful and all theupholsterywas done including door panels, headliner and carpet.It has new door seals.I found real nice Studebaker Hawk steering wheel and installed it. It's black and white matches the new white knobs on the dash and the black dash perfectly. I installed a cd/am/fm player that has the retro look. It has all the Blue Tooth andMPV hookups. The front flips down to load the cd. All the lights, brake lightsand signals work. The amp gauge and the horn don't work and the last time I drove it the speedo cable was making noise so I unhooked it from the speed o head.I can buy a retro 3 1/4" white faced GPS controlled speedo for about $65. I don't have time to install it but I will have one drop shipped to the new owner if it sells. I get tired of messing with the old cable systems especially when the speedo and trannys have been modified.

Station wagons have increased in value in the last two or three years almost 70%. A 62 Lark convertible with v8 and a 4speed books for $17 less than the 62 Lark 4 door wagon according to the NADA guide.Yes, I know the nada booksmost collector cars too high but I mention it just for comparison figures.They have the Lark 4door wagon booking out on top (high retail)at $40kin stock condition . Two and a half years ago it was only$25k
