West Coast Classics are proud to present an extraordinarily well presented and no expense spared restored and mildly customized original southern California 1959 Studebaker Silver Hawk 350 V8 coupe with a custom build 350 Turbo automatic transmission with lock up torque convertor and power disc brakes matched to a built 350 V8 'Edelbrock' engine which recently underwent a complete ground up restoration and only 284 miles on the build and with a two-stage repaint in original factory 'Bamboo Yellow' color and with the interior restored in leather with a new headliner with chrome roof bows and with all the glass replaced and all the chrome re-plated. The floor boards, trunk and all the typical rust-prone areas are solid and rust-free.

The car looks extremely impressive with a very striking 'Bamboo Yellow' factory color repaint with a striking custom leather interior also having been restored as required to similar factory specifications throughout with its original 'Studebaker' AM radio! The dashboard, the headliner with chrome bows and the carpets and the trunk have also been restored and are in as new condition throughout and the car has all new chrome!
The car boasts a new crated E-Street 350 V8 engine prepared exclusively by 'Edelbrock' and which is rated at 315HP. The car has an all new power-train with front power disc brakes, twin traction Dana rear end, 'Saginaw' power steering, a new cooling system, amongst many other modern upgrades with receipts totaling over $85K. The engine is obviously extremely strong and powerful and this particular car drives very well - must be driven to be fully appreciated - a truly remarkable daily driver that will give any modern day sports car a run for it's money!
Reportedly the vehicle spent its whole life in the Torrance, southern California area and it underwent this no expense mild custom hot rod restoration in 2015. In addition to the cosmetic restoration, many upgraded mechanical and electrical components were replaced at the time of the restoration as documented by a thick file of receipts totaling over $85K. The car will also be sold with a copy of it's original build sheet from the 'Studebaker National Museum', original owners manuals, dealer brochures, handbooks & paint chip brochures etc.
After the Ford Thunderbird had been restyled in the late fifties, the Studebaker Golden Hawk emerged as one of the most handsome two door coupes on the market in 1956 with performance to match its styling. The 1959 Studebaker Silver Hawk was a simplified successor to the Golden Hawk with cleaner styling and subtle yet distinctive era correct fins and all were fixed pillar coupes.
