Description

This car is a verynice, reliable driver that you can take to a show with pride. I have owned the car since 2011. Strong engine with undocumented 61,000 miles on odometer. Very smooth automatic transmission, brakes and suspension. New pristine interior, nicely detailed engine and trunk. Radial tires arealmost newand whitewalls are correct for 1962. Mallory electronic distributor and high output coil insures trouble free ignition. Very good chrome. The white finish has a nice shine, but the paint is crazed. (I prefer to say "patina.") I tried to show this in the photos. From ten feet away and in certain light even up close the paint looks very good. Frame and troughs are excellent. Very small amount of bondo on lower body behind doors. Car has power steering, but it is disconnected as system had a serious leak. Everything works except for radio, clock, heater controls and fan. Car has heater cut off valve under hood for heat if you want it. Electric fuel pump for cold starts and vapor lock. Original owner's manual and 1962 shop manual included.
Recent work done:2013: Mallory electronic distributor w/high output coil Rebuilt generator and starter Rebuilt carburator New ignition switch2014: New mufflers and exhaust pipes All new interior includes carpet, headliner, visors2015: Automatic transmission checked, new pressure plate King pins rebuilt All new front suspension bushings and seals All new brake cylinders and hoses New front shocks and new rear air shocks
An attractive, turn key Hawk especially given the reserve.I have taken the car to several local shows and have received numerous favorable comments.Reason for selling: Too many cars! I am happy to answer any questions or comments you may have.
