2 1987 Subaru XT

Description

This rare and collectable BLUE Subaru XT 4WD Turbo is a project car that needsthe engine rebuilt although it was running when I pulled it from the RED XT.. The RED XT shown is also part of this package and is a "parts" car. Theengine should have the following things done to it..the valves should be redoneand all gaskets replaced; I would also strongly recommend replacing the timingbelts and water pump while your into the engine as those are the weak points onthis style engine; and some general TLC and cleaning. Not sure how good theturbo unit is, but there are two of them. The BLUE XT automatic transmission worked perfect and the 4 wheel drive wasgreat on snowy days and wet roads. It has a opening sun roof, but more of a"vent" opening to help circulate air. The car was last driven in 2014 untilthe block cracked. The BLUE XT has a dent just behind the passenger door (shown in picture) andshouldn't be to difficult to fix. The passenger door also has some minor rustat the bottom, but that is the only rust on the car. Rocker panels are alsorust free. The RED XT has no rust on either door or the body, but the fronthood is dented and no front bumper on the RED XT. Both XTs have no other bodydamage and all tail lenses and glass are free of chips and cracks, but thedriver door glass on the RED XT is gone.
The BLUE XT is a 4 wheel drive model, but the RED XT is a two wheel model,but other than the rear axles, all parts are interchangeable as spare parts.
There is NO transmission in the RED XT. but the dash, seats, and manymiscellaneous parts are there. Not shown, but part of the package are 4 rimsfor the RED XT. Both XTs need new tires as the BLUE XT tires are "iffy" andthe RED XT tires are good for the rims only. There are lots of spare parts,including the turbo unit in the car rear trunk and I have lots of standardSubaru parts that will work for the XT. The BLUE XT has a clear title, but theRED XT one is a bill of sale only.
ANY PARTS that are needed for the BLUE XT THAT I HAVE AVAILABLE, will begiven as part of this deal.
NOTE: Since listing this car I have had several inquires if I can get the car running for them.. The answer is yes and it would be $675 to cover the gasket set, new water pump, new belts, valves re seated, and labor costs. But the rest of the work is for you to handle as I have to many other projects at this time.
