1992 Subaru SVX MANUAL transmission swapped.
Description
Only SVX I've seen with manual transmission. 5 speed, close ratio from newer outback. Clutch very strong, car quite intense. Not for everyone! The previous owner did the swap, and put on an exhaust bypass, electrically activated. With the dump side active, the sound really 'rips" sound just like a highly tuned 911.This was Subaru's attempt at a high-spec car, cost more than a Corvette at the time. You can't name an option this car doesn't have for it's era. When you get on it and rev this car to 7k, the pull and the noise is quite intense.I would like to mention, I did NOT cut the rear lower valence for the exhaust, bought it this way, the cut off piece is not presentdarnit. No rust, pics show this, I have more if desired. Clean, Clear MO title in my name..Great aftermarket radio with Bluetooth mounted in car, radio cover still covers as in original condition.
It does have a dent at the front, driver's side wheel-well. The green plastic cover comes with car, along with many spare parts and sensors, and shown in pictures. Moon-roof works fine.
Longest I've driven it is 200 miles round trip, absolutely no issues. Exhaust calms down in 5th gear, or switch back to muffler.Great wheels and tires, can drive home, no issues.Has the famous SVX windows, all work and designed.H6 is very trorqey, pulls very hard. No smoke or drips.
Paint is original, can look blue or green, depending on sun.The top's paint is coming off, had a hard time deciding whether to paint the factory flat black, or let me owner decide. Original paint underneath, I think I would take off the black and run factory color all over.I can't express how rare this car is, and how wild the driving is.Please send any questions, I will answer as best I can..Located in Kansas City, MO.Feel free to have it inspected/PPI.Clean Carfax, no issues there.Due to the swap, cruise doesn't work, and an engine light is on, trying to find the auto transmission, which is gone, of course.
