1976 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER FJ40UPFOR AUCTION IS A 1976 TOYOTA FJ40. I RECENTLY PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE BECAUSE I BOUGHT AN FJ43. I WAS TOLD THIS FJ WAS RESTORED IN 2007. THE BODY IS 100% RUST FREE AND INCREDIBLY STRAIGHT. THE FJ HAS THE INLINE 6 2F 4.2L WITH A 4 SPEED TRANSMISSION.THE PAINT IS VERY VERY NICE DRIVER QUALITY. THERE IS ORANGE PEEL ON THE HOOD AND SOME DUST UNDER THE PAINT ON THE HOOD, OTHERWISE THE PAINT IS REALLY NICE. SINCE I HAD THE FJ, I INSTALLED A BRAND NEW BEST TOP SOFT TOP. CHANGED THE OIL AND FILTER, DID A TUNE UP WITH NEW PLUGS,WIRES,DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND ROTOR. INSTALLED NEW WEATHER STRIPPING ON THE DRIVERS DOOR. I HAVE THE PASSENGERS, BUT DIDNT GET A CHANCE TO INSTALL. ALSO A FEW LITTLE OTHER THINGS LIKE NEW MIRRORS, NEW WIPERS, AND PROBABLY A COUPLE OTHER THINGS. THE FJ RUNS GREAT AND STARTS RIGHT UP EVERY TIME. I DROVE IT FOR EVERYDAY FOR A WEEK, IT RAN GREAT! DROVE IT ON THE HIGHWAY, AND DRIVES STRAIGHT WITH NO WOBBLE OR ISSUES. THERE IS AN AFTERMARKET TACHOMETER AND OIL PRESSURE GAUAGE THAT BOTH WORK. THE GAS GAUGE AND TEMP GAUAGE DONT SEEM TO WORK. THE FJ DOESN'T LEAK A SINGLE DROP OF ANYTHING! I WOULD CONSIDER THE QUALITY OF THE FJ AS VERY VERY NICE DRIVER QUALITY. THE TAILGATE IS WELDED SHUT, I HAVE NO REASON WHY, IT WAS LIKE THAT WHEN I GOT IT.
