Photo Journal Of Restoration
This was a two year restoration with no expense spared and no corners cut! All new steel used to repair any rust issues. It comes with the original hart top with full doors, windows and rear ambulance doors. Repainted in the original color of Freeborn Red, base coat clear coat. The drivetrain was gone through and any issues found were addressed. Mechanically excellent in every aspect. Engine runs like new, transmission shifts great and the four wheel drive works as good as new. It's reliable and dependable for use as a daily driver with no known issues. New wheel bearings, brakes, exhaust, tires, electrical wiring, alternator plugs, wires, all fluids, belts, hoses, etc. Really too much to list it all. The photos pretty much show it all. Basically everything on this FJ from top to bottom has been repaired or replaced. Call with any questions or to schedule an inspection. I do encourage Pre-purchase inspections and will be glad to show it at anytime during the auction. If you aren't able to come inspect it in person there are third party inspectors that can do a comprehensive report for you typically within 24 hours. This is an as is auction with no warranty so please ask any questions you may have prior to bidding. I've got over 600 photos of it from beginning of the restoration all the way to completion. There was a lot of custom work done to make it unique without compromising any of the originality. The summer top, half doors and tailgate can all be removed in minutes and ready for the hard top to go right on it. The full doors and hard top are in primer, not painted but basically ready for paint. Both of the full doors had significant rust along the bottoms which was all cut out and new lowers welded in on the inside and outer panels. The hard top has all new rubber seals including all glass seals and doors. Rust repair was done on the doors and new metal welded in where the rust was cut out. They were repaired and primed, ready for paint. All stainless steel hardware used when putting it back together in any place possible. It drives really nice! It handles really well and steering is tight with no play or slack and it tracks straight and true. Comes with a clean clear title.
