This rig is FULLY sorted. . . I searched for a long time to find something that I felt was capable off-road, but more importantly, DEPENDABLE. I have the full history & details on the rig, including some of the original build pictures (completed in early 2000s). This FJ40 is a fantastic driver and a properly built, true trail truck that has a long history exploring Moab, but can also be a daily driver and comfortably cruise @ 75mph down the highway. Again, it was fully restored, modified and upgraded in the early 2000s including, but not limited to full sandblasting to bare metal, proper prep and a full re-paint. There are only small imperfections here and there showing slight surface rust, but I wanted to point that out however minor it may be. There are NO LEAKS WHATSOEVER...
I hunted down the FJ40 in Monterey, CA, flew there, and DROVE the truck across the country, all the way back, to Atlanta. That is a solid 3,700 miles with NO ISSUES whatsoever! Trust me, all the bugs have been worked out of this vehicle. If you're curious about the drive, go to the Vimeo website and search for "Monterey to Atlanta" During the trip, the only thing I updated was the headlights because the standard lighting was outdated and I couldn't see well enough at night. I chose the brightest, top of the line Truck-lite LED headlights I could find They work flawlessly and give you all you'll need to see clearly and safely wherever you drive at night.
Serious interested parties only please. NO TRADES. I know what this rig is worth and I'm in no rush to sell it. The title is clear and in hand. As the next owner of this solid truck, you will know what you're getting. Upon seeing it and understanding the details, especially the excellent condition and the time and effort that went into building, your peace of mind will come easily. This is truly a rare example of an FJ40, built right and ready to go anywhere you desire.
