1986 TOYOTA CRESTA GT- JDM GX71, REAL JAPAN IMPORT, IMMACULATE, 76K MILES, RARE!

This 1986 Toyota Cresta GT would be right at home as a daily driver or a nice starting point for a build. The GX71 chassis has plenty of aftermarket support – and this one is equipped with the twin-turbo 1G-GTE known for its stoutness and power potential. The exterior overall is in great shape but does have some light blemishes (see pictures for the details). The paint still shines nicely as a whole. The body is in good shape with no major dents or dings. Overall the appearance has been kept completely OEM and even comes with the original 15” wheels. Very rare to find an unmodified example in Japan- this is a true survivor that has always been well maintained and garaged.

The interior is in excellent shape and retains the original appearance. The dash has no cracks, but there is a spot that has some slight waviness. Velour seats are in great shape, looking like new, aside from a couple wear spots on the bottom of the front seats and one spot with discoloration. The interior is completely original and takes you back in time to the mid-late 80s at the height of Japan’s bubble economy. Digital dash is functioning 100%, with no dead pixels. The door panels have no major blemishes and all trim pieces are present. Wood grain trim has no cracking, and matches the sport-luxury look of the car very well.

Mechanically this Cresta is sound and ready for immediate use. The 1G-GTE engine starts instantly and idles correctly. The automatic transmission is in good condition and shifts smoothly. Parts are readily accessible for a manual swap if the next owner chose to do so. A clutch pedal and a few other parts are being shipped to me from Japan, they will be included in the sale. The A/C functions and blows ice-cold; this is the best R12 A/C I have ever felt. Currently this Cresta has 76k original miles and a recent Shaken (Japanese Inspection) showing that it was roadworthy and still being driven in Japan. Sale includes several inspection and service records, along with the original owners manual and two sets of keys.

Car is located in Los Angeles, California. All import documents and paperwork is included with the sale. Vehicle was imported correctly and legally under the 25-year U.S import rule.
