toyota hj60
Description
LOCATED Torrance, CA
I have a clean all original Canadian '87 toyota hj 60 with the 2H and automatic transmission. it has a roughly 4 inch lift, still spring under, unknown make but a good kit has castor correction shims and heavies in the back.
I bought it a little over a year ago with the intentions of having a diesel off road tow vehicle. to pull behind our rv. I fabricated a tow bar that mounts on the frame in front of the shackles. i use a blue ox bar and have the lights wired into diodes. it works really good, towing isn't bad its just really heavy and our goals have changed.
over the corse of the year i installed a denco turbo manifold and a new ct26 off a 12ht with a aftermarket waste gate set to 5-6 psi. i followed the instructions for denco and set the screw 2 or 3 turns out and it runs great!
it did not have a/c when i bought it, i had a hard time sourcing the brackets and wanted a factory set up so i bought a half cut 60 got the parts i needed and parted out the rest. i have some parts left over which will be included in the sale if the buyer wants them. the ac is completely functional and i used r-12 so it works phenomenally!
the car sat for a significant amount of time before i purchased it so i went threw changed every fluid, rebuilt the birfs and put new 33/10.5 bfg mud terrains on it, which now have about 2,500 miles on them.
i currently have a complete spare 2h engine minus the injection pump and lines
gauge cluster
all the relays for the glow etc
radiator fan shroud and fan
the kicker is a h55 bell housing, clutch, fly wheel, clutch fork, pressure plate which i had the intention to swap to this if the a440 took a dump.
the bad...
supposedly it was a real clean rust free rig when it was purchased and imported but since sitting with the p/o it developed the typical rust above the rear tires. also a spot on the rear window seal all in the pictures i will post.
the positive of the rust is the rain gutters and floor boards are solid rust free and all the paint and body are original.
the frame is in good shape, just surface rust i have been going threw slowly and wire wheeling, used POR 15 rust converter and painted over. their is also the typical rust in the c channel above the spare tire between the gas tank, i purchased the replacement kit from a mud member where you grind the rivets off and put the new c channel in and bolt it together with some grade 8 bolts. i also have new wilting to take the windows out to repair that one piece in the back. all will be included.
the interior is clean and original, shows barley any wear. dash is solid as well. just has a new alpine head unit.
its a great cruiser, has been good to me, never let me down. we just have some financial and family things going on to where it has to go. Im open to reasonable offers, will help coordinate but not pay for shipping.
i know it still needs some work but the parts i have collected and done so far hopefully out ways the rest. thanks for your interest.
