Description

Here is my 10 year Personal Project.I purchased this MR2 from Second Owner in '97, with just over 60K miles, in need of a new set of tires (or so I thought originally, convinced my wife).10 years later, it has 63,8xx miles.2 things happened in the last 10 yrs: I spent > $20K in a fairly complete restoration mechanically & aesthetically; & I am no longer 53 & now too old to enjoy car. Time to give up on little sports cars, & put this into the hands of a person who canenjoy a near "0 Timed" MR2 with many upgrades & countless new factory parts. New components have <3.5Kmiles on them.MR2 has absolutely NO RUST. It has a clean CA title, Garage kept. If you have researched this car, youwill know significant suspension /braking & handling factory improvements to the 93-95 model years. Improved brakes, larger alloy wheels & larger staggered tires improved stability in cornering & stopping. This is 1 of 1203 Turbo models imported to the USfor '93 . After New Goodrich Tires from Costco, decidedto get the oil leak fixed and have the timing belt replaced at the Local Toyota Dealer (60.5k Mi, 8/07), but the dealer did not clean the spilled oil/grim from engine. It was time to replace the spark plugs-found them in a pool of oil & then it began. My obsession for a clean new car. Took the MR2 completely apart in my garage, &ordered new "everything" that Toyota still had in stock, plus Factory TRD accessories (TRD Slotted/Drilled Rotors; F&R TRD Shock Tower Stabilizers); Bilstein Shocks w/new fact springs. All new Body Rubber seals.Noticed it did not have the LSD Transmission, so bought one with < 40K miles, replacing all the seals before install- replaced the drive axles (new from dealer inventory) to match the newtransmission.Replace water pump, oil pump, Mass flow Meter, air filter, fuel filter, EGR valve, distributor cap & rotor, new spark plugs & factory spark wires; overflow reservoir & windshield washer pump & reservoir; all motor mounts, hoses (all hoses replaced with High temp silicone or factory lines). new fluids, everywhere (Mobil one synthetic in trans & engine).New radiator & Long Life Toyota fluid with thermostat; lightweight Aluminum flywheel and new clutch (including actuators); New head gasket & High strength Valve cover bolts.New oversized Intercooler, & rebuilt turbo charger, new waste gate.Fuel injectors removed, & rebuilt/ balanced at RC Engineering for max power & efficiency. Cylinder Head removed, new head gasket, and cleaned/polished vales & seats. New alternator& battery (8/17). Every component in the A/C system replaced by me & Toyota shop-R134 conversion & charge. Best MR2 AC system at this point anywhere.Low flow Cat back Stainless Steel 4 inch exhaust system ( all upgrades improve HP from 200 to 225 without any stress added on engine). New billet TRD Oil Cap; New TRD Fuel cap. New perforated Leather seats matching factory in color & New TRD shift knob. Kenwood Exelon-991 HD Radio CD Stereo w/Alpine Amps, Infinity Kappa speakers, new Power Ant. Car not new/ perfect, but a non smoker, eye catching 25 yr old. Call for more info. Price negotiable.
