1982 Toyota 4x4
Description
1982 Toyota 4x4. Chevy 350 V8, TH 400 Tranny, (both came out of same 3/4 ton suburban just over 100,000 mostly HWY miles), T Case just gone through. All fluids fresh. New rear ring and pinion,(under 200 miles, gear oil change at 75 miles). 4.11 limited slip gears. 3/4-1 ton rear driveline. 35/12.5/15 tires, under 6500 miles (98%). Brand new alternator just put in, maybe 10 miles. Custom built bumpers. Winch can, and has been mounted on front bumper, but does not come with the truck. Radiator is out of a Ford 1 ton Power Stroke. Works very well. A custom radiator can be put in the front. It comes with a hitch that mounts on the front in just a few, and you can tow it anywhere. The Body is Rhino Lined Blue. TITLE IN HAND.
(the bad list-) The 85 Chevy Suburban I purchased was not used much and sat most of the time. After I put it together it ran like a top and drove great. Slow in low, and fast on the freeway. But in December this year I went out to fire it up in the single digit temps outside and the trans was a bit slow to shift in to gear. (5-10 seconds). After it went in to gear it shifted like normal. When the weather was back to normal the tranny shifted like normal when engine/trans is cold started. The truck never drove like anything was wrong. It was just a 10+- second delay to go in to gear when it was really cold in the morning. You can hear it wine a little when it is cold, but still works as it should. When warm the wine stops. When I did the T-case the tranny fluid was drained and Lucas was added. Before that the Tranny was like normal, so all I can think of is that due to how thick the Lucas additive is when it's normal weather, the cold single digit temperatures are slowing down the shifting in to gear until the Lucas warms up and the tranny fluid thins out a bit.
I don't want to sell this truck. It is a blast, and my little boy is not very happy about it. But due to injuries and not being able to work I need to sell, thus the low starting price. Take a look at the video and imagine the Yety a lot quieter. Sorry I don't have any video of the truck going down the highway. I will try to post some this week.

(this video was posted before I put the exhaust pipes/glass packs on the truck. So it's a lot quieter now. This video was shot in the winter of 2016/17. The truck was on the road but was not an every day driver. 3-400 miles on V8 conversion.)
