1987 Toyota 4Runner SR5

For sale, 1987 Toyota 4runner 4x4 SR5 for sale. Non abused, not lifted, never wheeled, non smoker. Rebuilt and balanced 22re with rv2 cam and shaved head with LC Engineering adjustable cam gear. Flowmaster 40 series muffler. Manual 5 speed transmission with newer high performance clutch. 265,9xxk miles with roughly12k miles since rebuild. Fresh head gasket around4k miles ago when I did the head shave and cam gear install. Has a tow hitch.Rare to find one like this that is not beat, wheeled and dented. No leaks, Norust,daily driver, extremely reliable. Ready to drive across the country. 18-20 mpg, clean title, good tags.

new starter, power steering pump, alternator, fuel injectors, head gasket, heater hoses, TPS, Ignition coil, oxygen sensor.

Factory air conditioning, not working. Has small leak somewhere near evaporator. Likely easy repair and working.

Has several small dings and scratches. All fenders and doors have factory VIN # so all original body parts.

Tire tread:30-40%

Exhaust works good but is not the best looking from the cat back. Has several leaks that have been patched. Was going to install a header and new exhaust but never got around to it. EGR has been deleted and it passes Oregon emission tests with ease.

Runs and drives excellent, stops good with newer brake pads. Clutch was inspected during engine rebuild and was still in great shape. It is a high performance clutch rated for 215 horsepower. Shifts great and fluids are full. I was driving this daily in medium heavy traffic. Will sit in traffic all day without any issues. Top has been off a few times but does not leak at all. The rear window works with the key on the tailgate only. The interior switches quit working not to long ago and have not fixed it yet. The tailgate panel is off but I have it still. Left it off to actuate the lock mechanism as the plastic clip that holds it broke. Easy fix but have not done it yet. The window has a slight tilt to it and sticks up a little bit when all the way down.Paint is starting to fade in a few areas but from a distance looks pretty good. The paint on the top is starting to fade in spots a bit. No interior leaks anywhere. Few small grease spots and stains in the carpet. Likely cleanable. This has been an excellent truck for the past 8 years or so that I have had it. It is ready to hit the road, RELIABLY.
