1989 Toyota Pickup

One family owned 1989 Toyota Pickup. My dad bought this in 1989 at Joseph Toyota and kept it in the garage for 20 years, then handed it over to me. I then kept it in my garage for the past 7 years, 5 of those in my garage in Texas:) It now has just under 66K miles. We have used it to haul our mountain bikes and gear for camping and fishing trips, and aoccasionally hauling off yard debris, tree limbs, etc.. It has been 'off-road' twice, in Texas at OHV trails, and very limited snow/salt exposure.

All original. The paint is original, along with the strips which were installed at the dealer prior to sale. Outside of preventative maintenance, i.e. oil changes, the only work that has been done is replacing the exhaust system in 2009.There is no rust on the body, and very, very limited rust underneath, just a few spots at bolts/joints, but frame is rust free.

FAQ:

1. The vehicle is in perfect running condition. It only has 65K miles. It starts and runs like a 5 year old truck with 65K miles (even though it is a 27 year old truck with 65K miles) The Toyota engine is incredible. Likely to run for 200K+ miles without concerns.

2. The air conditioner is in perfect working order. Similar to the engine, it has really not been used much, and therefor is in perfect working condition. Due to the small cab of this truck, the AC cools the vehicle down quicker than any other car I have owned. Same is true of the heat in the winter.

3. It is a 5 speed manual transmission.

4. The reserve is based on comparable trucks of this time period with this few miles. This is my first time considering selling the truck and I have set the reserve accordingly.

5. The body of the truck is in very good condition except for two dent on the right side. One, is near the passenger rear. I'm not sure how this happened. I believe it happened in a parking lot when I was not around. I came back, entered from the drivers side, didn't notice the damage until a few days later. The second is the right front fender panel is bent near the door. I was responsible for this. My son and I took this riding on a trail in Texas. Due to the oversized tires, when I road over a large rock with the steering wheel turned, the tire went up and made contact with the fender, bending it. I bent it back myself to be able to use the passenger door, but have not seen the need to have a professional fix it. Thosetwo blemishes, I have chosen not to fix, as they are not a big deal for me, but they are the only thing I would say a prospective buyer should be aware of. The reserve price of the vehicle is set to allow for a purchaser to buy the truck, and have those small dents repaired and still get a fair deal on the truck.

6. The are no accidents, paint, body work, rust repair, bondo, duct tape, etc. It is all original.

7. The truck is currently in Ohio. We moved back from Texas in 2014. It has been in the garage in both locations.
