We spent 2 years and countless dollars painstakingly restoring this 1971 Land Cruiser FJ40. A beautiful frame off restoration featuring all new wiring, Drive-train, and of course Disc Brakes, new fuel system including fuel tank. By the way we started out with a really nice truck that was merely painted the wrong color with minimal rust.
Cummins Diesel 4BT 3.9 ltr. In-line 4 Cylinder, large air to air Intercooler, P7100 pump, HX35 turbo, non- EGR, 8 valve, with 450ft/lbs torque @ 1600rpm and 180 HP @ 2500 Rpm. which cruises at a comfortable 80-90 MPH uphill. NV-4500, Five -speed New Venture/Chrysler (Ram) transmission and automatic locking transfer-case all brand new matched to the Cummins diesel. Tuned to perfection by a world renowned diesel mechanic here in Denver, no black smoke and starts in seconds. A conversion cost of $25,000.00, by far a better solution than even the ICONic builder uses. Will run for 200-300,000 miles easily!
Repainted original PPG code I-1710 Toyota 14208 Scanda Blue inside and out. With new charcoal upholstery covering the seats. $6000.00 spent on paint and interior restoration.
Along with the disc brakes we found some of the last few brand new BFG KM2's 31/10.50 15 left to cover the original 6.5 inch wide steelies to help it stop. To fit the 31 inch tires we added a 2 inch Old Man Emu suspension which maintains the original ride with a slightly more comfortable feel. Here we spent an additional $8500 for ride and comfort.
Down to the fuel tank and wipers, this thing is new. All new wiring, and exhaust A real head turner with a modern touch. Clean Colorado title! Call Rob 720-879-4069
