1988 FJ62 Toyota Landcruiser
Description
I purchased this vehicle ~3.5 years ago when it had ~190,000 miles on it. I've used it for recreation and as a daily driver.
The best part about this car is the 2 inch suspension lift I had done which allows for a 2 inch bigger tire. So it has an additional 4 inches from the original stock set up. (Stock tires on this are 31 inches). 4WD works perfectly. Note you have to manually lock hubs to engage 4WD.
All of the work I've done on this car has been primarily mechanical with the exception of the stereo, the aftermarket seat covers and the aftermarket dash cover.
Since I've owned it, I've had to replace the igniter, distributor, ignition cylinder, fuel lines, fuel regulator, brake lines, calipers, brake booster & master, ignition cylinder, alternator, various belts, windshield washer fluid container & sprayers and also had a retrofit kit installed for the A/C.
Things that do not work: Antennae, rear washer sprayers, oil gauge, horn
All the work I've had done has been through a single shop near where I live so I have copies of most receipts.
I've never done any bodywork or paint whatsoever. In other words, you could buy this to be a fun-mobile or a potential restoration job.
