Description

Up for bid is my personal 1988 Toyota Pickup, V6 4wd, Clean Title and registered in my name. I'm the second owner and overall the truck is very clean and original. The truck has not been restored and has always been a Southern California truck in the Pasadena area (dry air / no snow). The paint is shiny and the chrome is still in great shape. This one is the SR5 model and has some nice features you don't see often such as the arm rest, map lights (rare), original tape player (it works) and the period correct front bug deflector! Bonus is the original paperwork including the window sticker / documentation as shown in the photo.
In the last year, I've done a lot of work on the truck. Suspenson rides solid with new KYB Monomax shocks (front and rear), Timing belt was serviced with a Mitsuboshi timing belt, Aisin water pump, thermostat, radiator, radiator hoses, Denso spark plugs, Denso ignition wires, distributor cap/rotor. The A/C system also works very well and blows cold, there is a new Denso Compressor, new receiver/drier, new expansion valve (all Denso parts!) The driver seat also has new foam on the seat bottom cushion (had to replace it because the old one was getting too soft). By the way, I have a dash cover, but its removed for the photos.
The truck is about 28 yrs old, so it does have some minor issues: small crack on dash, right rear of bed has a scratch and slightly dented, some minor dings on the body, some of the paint wearing through on the edges around the bed (I think its pretty minor). The CV axle boots are torn and its the next thing that I would address next if I were to keep the truck. The gear selector handle has some slop from age, but it goes into all gears fine. The front door windows has tint, would be nice to remove it or replace with some new tint. The left side speaker sometimes doesn't work at certain volumes.
In a nutshell, the truck is a solid driver. The work done to it with the best parts is something you put in when you plan to keep it forever. Unfortunately a friend has offered me a really cool sports car and I need to sell this one to get the other.
$1000 payment by paypal no later than 48 hours of auction closing, the remaining balance can be paid by cashier check or bank wire transfer. Buyer pays for shipping. The truck is sold as is. Please feel free to message me with any questions.
