Description
This 1989 Toyota Land Cruiser is largely original and has been a reliable daily driver since I purchased the truck in 2010. The mileage is pretty low at just over 187k miles. Since moving to Portland in 2011 all maintenance has been completed by renowned Land Cruiser specialists Landcruiser NW including recent replacement of the tie rods, brake system overhaul (calipers, rotors, drums, shoes, pads, and brake lines replaced), and replacement of theaxle seals and e-brake.
Here are some highlights of the truck:
- 2.5" BDS leaf spring kit has been installed
- Air conditioning has been converted to R134 and works well
- Very clean interior with rare leather seats and panels
- Windows are tinted with 3M film
- Air filter has been upgraded with a K&N filter
- BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires mounted on factory wheels
- 4WD works great
- Has been garage kept formost of the the time we've owned it
- Passed OR DEQ 3/18
- Includes the original owners manual, tool kit, and theToyota Land Cruiser repair manual
- Clean Oregon title in my name
The truck was originally gray before the previous owner had it repainted white in 2006. Around this time the previous owner was involved in an accident which resulted in the rear bumper and tailgate being replaced. The condition and fit of the replacement parts is great and look as though they could be original to the truck.
As you can see in the pictures there are some scuffs and chips in the paint, mostly concentrated around the hood. The left rocker panel and both rear wheel wells were replaced by the previous owner due to corrosion, but there is a small amount of rust that remains around the rear fender lips and lower doors.
There is a minor oil leak.According to LCNW is likely from an older oil pan gasket.
The driver's seat has some tears in the leather in the normal FJ trouble areas. The power windows work, but the power door locks don't always work that well. While the antenna raises and lowers properly, the receiver portion of the radio isinoperable.
Over the last 8 years my family andI have really enjoyed this truck and we're sad to see it go. We hope you enjoy it as much as we have.
Here's a video showing a walk-around and cold start of the truck:
