Description

1984 Toyota Land Cruiser, BJ60
FACTORY DIESELMINT CONDITION
Beautiful 1984 Toyota Land Cruiser. Factory original BJ60. The diesel 3B runs flawlessly and the manual 5 speed H55f shifts great. The 4x4 works excellent. Power steering, power brakes, power clutch are all in perfect working condition. There are no issues with this gem. I originally purchased this cruiser in 2016 from Canada. I drove it down and enjoyed it for about a year. Although it was a pretty solid looking BJ60, I knew there was going to be rust issues(very common), so I decided to jump in and do a restoration. I cut out any rust on the body and replaced it with hand fabricated panels. While I was doing that I had decided I couldn't stop there, so I removed the frame from the body, had it blasted and por-15'd. While the frame was out, I re-sealed the engine, and also installed a 4 inch OME lift with 33" toyo open country M/Ts. The a/c was an outdated r-12 system, so I replaced it with a modern r-134a system. After the frame and body were mated, I put 2 coats of 2K primer with a 400 grit block sanding in between to insure a reasonably flat finish on the panels. I then sprayed a ppg base with a mild solids clear for a great and durable finish. Next, I got started on the interior. The carpet was kind of dingy, so I replaced it with a new carpet and had the door panels carpet redone as well. I also installed custom LED tag and marker lights, new brakes, rotors, calipers and regreased the hubs. The list goes on.. I am not an auto body shop. I work full time construction during the day and come home and work in my shop where I enjoy doing this on the side. I have meticulously restored this cruiser to factory if not better condition. I have enjoyed this 60 for the years, and recently have purchased a '63 Lincoln convertible, I could use the extra garage space and cash. That is why I am selling the Toyota BJ60 Land Cruiser.
I have pictures of the restoration process, available upon request.
