Description

I am selling my 1981 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60. This is a great old school vehicle that I have enjoyed driving, but we are downsizing so I am selling. The car runs great, and I have had about 5k of engine work done. The head gaskets were replaced less that 2k miles ago, and carb was rebuilt at the same time. Smog equipment has been removed so you have a better running stronger engine. Aluminum radiator installed and entire cooling system flushed and cleaned, as the old radiators can overheat.
Had clutch checked out less that 500 miles ago, and shifts like a dream with the 4 on the floor manual.
This has a 2WD / 4WD High and Low shifter, and it goes into 4WD with no issues, locking hubs work as well.
Has an aftermarket AC that does not work, but I have not had that checked out yet, so it could be an easy fix.
All original interior, and there are some cracks here and there, but overall in great shape for a car of this age. Aftermarket dash cover installed, but I have never looked under it.
I was in the process of installing a stereo, but I have not complete the job, I will include that unit with purchase.
Previous owner appears to have re-painted the "Freedom Red" color and painted the badging black. Aftermarket large front and rear bumpers installed by previous owner as well.
Bottom line, this a blast to drive, and can handle any kind of driving, and being able to switch into 4x4 and do a little off roading makes this a fun toy. With over 5k spent in the engine compartment, this project is ready to have fun with.
I will be happy to answer any questions, happy bidding!
