1980 Toyota 4WD Long Bed Pickup

Nice stock survivor. Local rust free California example with original paint. Original owner used it primarily to tow behind his motor home, never as a work truck. Hitch receiver still mounted to the front end under the bumper. True “driven” miles are unknown as the speedometer works while towing. (Shows 66K / 5 digit odometer) Judging by the condition, especially the un worn Factory carpeting I would assume not an excessive amount.After the first owner passed away last year his neighbor got it from his estate and then I then purchased it from him. It is a pre “SR-5” model yet has basically the same options except bucket seats and 5 speed transmission. It has Power steering, brakes, tilt steering wheel, sport wheel, tachometer, full gages, cloth seat and full carpeting, Factory flared wheel wells and stripe kit. Front lock out hubs. Has Factory A/C that works great. Legendary 20R 4 cylinder engine, 4 speed transmission. Runs and drives well and the way they were built…. stout and rugged ride. Exterior: No rust ever, no evidence of any prior accident damage. Original paint shows very well for age and shines well (top upper edge of bed has been spotted to match). Has some nicks and scratches here and there as you might expect for an original. Has a nice patina that shows it was never abused. Original stripe kit is showing its age and is peeling at the edges. However I have a Factory matching reproduction full decal set new in the box, ready to install that’s included with the truck. Bed is in great shape and hardly looks used. Grille paint is faded from age, along with some of the trim. Overall a very nice stock original example that shows well.

Interior: Very nice and original. Factory carpet is in fantastic condition and shows hardly any wear. Dash has a few cracks as most do. Door panels and headliner are in very good condition. Seat covering is new and close to original style; the original cloth looked decent without a lot of wear before what appeared as a dog tore at part of it so I replaced it.

Mechanical: Runs very well, idles smooth and runs cool. Engine is all stock and all the smog equipment is attached. The 4 speed transmission shifts / downshifts fine throughout its gears. However it will sometimes pop out of reverse if not holding the gear shift lever while backing up. Something I have gotten use to. Gages all work although the Factory AM/FM stereo does not. Tires have plenty of tread. Very tight and responsive steering.

Overall a nice stock first generation example that is hard to find in this condition. Please call with any questions.
