1990 Toyota SR5 4x4 4Runner
Description
This is a second-generation 4Runner that has the four-door unibody style with a tailgate for sitting, standing, loading, etc. No mechanical problems, solid engine, though it does have some ticking at certain RPMs (always has, never a problem). It handles well, a smooth drive on new shocks. Paint good, has a few dings in the body, the interior is still quite nice. There is a worn spot on the drivers seat which has exposed some foam (I removed the patch to expose it for photos). Trailer hitch and lights all functional. I've replaced nearly everything that wears out, about $10K worth of work:
* New head gasket* New aluminum heads* New timing belt* New radiator, hoses, thermostat* All new drive belts* New water pump* New fan clutch* New master cylinder* Upgraded automatic transmission (with external radiator for better oil cooling)* Four new KYB shocks* Replaced steering pitman and idler arms* Repacked wheel bearings* Alignment (steering and suspension)* Balanced wheels* New distributor* New spark plugs and wires* New heavy-duty starter battery* Replaced A/C high-pressure and recharged - works great!* Recently tuned engine, new air filter, new oil filter, and replaced fluids (oil, ATF, brake fluid, and coolant)
so doesn't need much. Wiper blades may need replaced. Right rear door lock stuck. Nice aftermarket stereo, speakers sound good but rears look awful (grills broken, etc). Passed smog June 12.
I'm selling to get a 4WD open-bed pickup needed to haul large items (open to trades).
