Beautifully restored by The FJ Company, this 1978 FJ40 was designed as the ultimate weekend driver in both winter or summer conditions. While staying true to the classic Land Cruiser, this FJ40 was custom restored with all of the prerequisite features that are now common on US highways such as power steering, 4-wheel disk brakes, air conditioning, and most importantly, a 5-speed manual transmission. Driving comfort is further enhanced with LED headlights, new 31" BF Goodrich tires, and an Old Man Emu suspension (not shown). Power is provided by its matching numbers Toyota 2F engine. One of the coolest features of its design: a removable hard top for the winter season and a custom soft top for the summer. Then again, you can always go top less.
As part of The FJ Company's typical restoration process, the vehicle was stripped down and rebuilt from scratch using Toyota OEM parts wherever possible, the chassis was powder coated, the electrical system was replaced, and the engine and transmission were rebuilt. Every feature of the interior was re-upholstered, and brand new upper and lower dash pads where installed, along with a new classic-looking digital radio.
The vehicle has been stored in a climate controlled facility since its restoration and driven less than 150 miles. Inspections welcome in our Miami showroom – by appointment only.
