Description

How many single-owner 1988 SR5 Toyota 4WD pick-ups are left in the world? This truck was purchased new as my first vehicle right out of grad school. It has lived all but the last two years in sunny California and recently retired to Montana along with me. The truck has been meticulously maintained and refurbished as necessary all along. It is solid, and everything works properly. A true survivor, with a few tasteful upgrades over the 32 years I have owned it.I am reluctantly selling it simply because I have too many vehicles and refuse to put it out in the elements. When I’m not driving it, it has always been in the garage and never outside.

Do not be afraid of the vehicles mileage as I have systematically replaced or rebuilt parts throughout its life. It has been a rolling restoration project. The original engine is numbers matching and was rebuilt about 75k miles ago. Rear-ends have been rebuilt by Marlin Crawler and have 4.56 gears and ARB lockers front and rear. One million mile Borla stainless cat back exhaust. The truck has had many parts removed and powder coated. There are so many parts and pieces replaced and refurbished that the list is too long for an advertisement. Rest assured that Toyota OEM parts were used as much as possible for every restoration and repair. It is the most reliable and rugged vehicle I have ever owned and has never left us stranded.

Additional features include, LED headlights, taillights and interior lights. Old school off-road projector lights (IPF and PIAS).Heavy duty powder coated front and rear bumpers. Kenwood GPS double DIN HD Radio with Bluetooth music and phone connect. Interior Smittybilt padded roll cage. Rear topper with carpet kit. Bed Line-X spray lined. Once again, the list is longer than I can annotate and while it has made the truck more capable, you should note it has never been bashed or used as a rock crawler. All upgrades made were designed by me to look, feel AND work like Toyota had done them at the factory.

Lastly, as the single owner I have saved so many parts and extras that can be sold with it. I will want an additional $750 over the vehicle sales/auction price to let these parts go with it.They would include a set of freshly powder coated Toyota rims with low mileage studded Goodyear Duratracs (2 years old), the OEM original complete 4.10 open IFS and rear differentials. Many other parts, special tools and OEM Toyota shop manual specific to this vehicle and the 3VZE engine.
