First off let me say that I am not an auction flipper or a dealer. I am an enthusiast, the previous owners were hardcore enthusiasts as well. This is my personal Land Cruiser (I've own two 80's and two 100's). I flew out to Texas to buy this truck and drove it back from Austin 23 hours straight 75-80mph the entire time. To say this truck is ''reliable'' doesnt do it justice.

Below is a detailed description of my FZJ, full disclosure with all mods, history, leaks, etc...no surprises.

Unfortunately I do not have documented history on this vehicle except for the radiator, battery, and a few odds and ends from the dealership (shown in the photo).
Before we begin, here is why I specifically chose this exact truck, exact year. If you are new to 80's...not all years are the same.

1994: Last year of the ''analog'' trucks (obd1, no airbags)A442f ''bus'' transmission (famous for being stout and bulletproof)Triple locked: ...no explanation here.
Cloth Manual interior (extremely rare to find in the 93-97's...especially with factory lockers) -no plastic motor gears to strip and freeze on you.

Exterior/Chassis

Zero rust on both body and frame. Under photos show dirt and grime but zero rust. ( I would never buy a truck with rust, never have)

ARB bumper installed in 2004 so finish is a little ashy.

Metal Tech 4x4 sliders (tightest fitting sliders on the market)

OEM JDM/Aus side moldings

Body extremely clean. No dents except for one tucked away behind the passenger slider and UNDER the rock panel, and one bump on the front left flare (shown in photo)

OEM roof rack removed in prep for after market rack that never was purchased. Next owner can easily source an oem rack and all nutserts are there. I even installed short allen screws in the nutserts to prevent any rain from entering.

No clear coat issues, etc.. paint is well taken care of. There are a coupe imperfections/ghost stains on the driver side door and driver side rear door. I think She's white so she gets dirty. I think a nice wax from a professional would be the only thing i havent done to really protect the paint. Roof has one stain from possibly bird poop left on too long.

Front end collision took place in 2003 based on the report, no details on exactly what was replaced or repainted.

-Interior

Non-smoker. No pets.

Rare Cloth manual seats are basically mint condition.Zero rips. Cleanest interior ive ever seen in an 80

Dash is perfect shape, no cracks or signs of weather, shift knob mint condition (most 80s are torn/worn)

JDM dash handle

Center diff lock switch (with pin7 mod which allows full use of all 3 lockers)

ALL controls work, windows (rears are slow), door locks, lights, etc… nothing needs to be replaced.

Carpet in amazing condition (husky floor mats have been in there for the last 15 years)

Kenwood media deck with Bluetooth and microphone

Pioneer speakers up front installed in September

New speakers in rear doors installed in September as well

Dynamat applied on every door panel and rear quarter panels.

Antenna works great radio signal but has trouble going up and down. (will go all the way up and down with hand assist)

No alarm, standard old fashioned 90's key to open and lock doors the way i like it. All key cylinders work including rear hatch. door keys and ignition are matching.

-Suspension

Front axle completely rebuilt 10 months ago. Birfs are click-free.

Brand new shocks and 3'' lift. (I currently have OME 863's in the rear, but I will also incuded brand new 3'' rear lift springs with lower rate that ride better unloaded).

33’’ KO2’s with tons of life left on them (I would say 75-80% tread life left)

spare is a full size

Zero vibration. 80mph on the highway and smooth.

Driveshafts always lubed, no vibration issues

Zero leaks from diffs or axles, birfs lubed and work perfectly. ( If you are shopping around...check the front birfs...if they are covered in grease/grime then that tells you the previous owner has neglected that truck)

-Engine/trans

no check engine lights, idles perfect, runs perfect

a/c blows ice cold, heater blows hot

Blue fan clutch done

Gates Green stripe PHH done

Brand new Koyo radiator installed 2 weeks ago (previous radiator has the slightest leak at thesmall return line, so replaced for peace of mind)

Brand new battery installed 2 weeks ago (replaced while Iwas doing the radiator for peace of mind)

Valve seals done in 2005 (valve cover gasket and head gasket obviously replaced when head put back on)

Several new vaccuum lines and vent tubes, etc.. egr all intact and passed California smog without issues.

New air intake tube 2 weeks old (have the original one as abackup, but has the typical crack at the accordion)

PHH done

Rear heater bypass done

Famous “Bus” trans shifts great, new fluid roughly 500 miles ago

New transfer case fluid 500 miles ago

Slee headlight harness with aux light addition

Aftermarket exhaust piping for better flow but zero highway drone.

NO SURPRISES....here are the things that leak or dont work:

Lower oil pan ‘’weeps’’ just the slightest but no drops on the garage floor
Rear seal weeps barely but no drips, just a light film across the housing. no drops on the garage floor.
Power steering pump weeps a little but no drops on the garage floor.
ABS light was on due to bad sensor. I have simply pulled the abs fuse and the dash bulb to avoid the annoying light.
