1976 Toyota FJ 40
Description
I have restored several FJ's and this one is by far my most favorite. Not justbecauseof how well it came out but the story behind thecruiser. I am the second owner of it and made really good friends with theoriginalowner. I wasableto get a lot of cool hunting and camping stories from him about the cruiser and he also shared some really cool pictures with me. I have all the manuals and books that heacquiredover the years of owning it. When I got the cruiser from him it was not running. I got it back to my house and went through the motor and was able to get it running but it smoked and had pretty lowcompression. Sothat'swhen the restoration started. I pulled the motor anddroppedit off at a enginebuilderinColorado Springs and while it was being built I started on the body work. The engine took about 6 months to build and I finished all the body work in about 14 months. The new motor has less then 400 miles on it. All of the body work is some of the best I have done. I was able to keep all theoriginalsteal thickness and never use any body filler. The rear seal I replaced with 2 1/2 inch tubing so not only does that ensure that it will never rust but it makes it 10 times stronger then from the factory. If you have any
questions that I may have missed feel free to email. Check out the video of the Cruiser! Thanks for looking. On Sep-16-16 at 19:28:13 PDT, seller added the following information:Watch the video here: https://youtu.be/YmGKFx2zH1g
