Description

I'm the second family to own this wagon. I bought it last year and spent a lot of time repairing and replacing parts as a hobby. It runs well and I drive it 1x a week. It could be a great investment for someone or knows the value of a great sturdy SUV!

Over all the 30 year old wagon is in very good mechanical condition, has low mileage, and runs very well. It starts right up, drives in all gears smooth, Transfer Case shifts well, and seems to have all of its original components! It was dealer serviced and comes with a folder of receipts. I know the original owner (my neighbor Father to Son to Mom. Same family 3 different last names, same address) Mom still lives across the street. It has been painted 1X from Grey to Metallic Grey. It was a decent paint job 15 years ago, but in need of a total repaint due to flaking and surface rust. I know the owner replaced the R/F corner panel {new not painted} lower front valence {new not painted}), and front bumper. I has the typical rust places for the east coast, The hood needs to be sanded and repainted (looks like it bumped into the garage tool box) but all in all a solid vehicle to restore or just drive as is. Sold as is with no Warranty.

The Bad: It has surface rust on top, hood, spots around the body. The underneath and the frame have surface rust from just sitting in a driveway in the east coast elements. The lower rear corner panels need work, but can be repaired or partially replaced (new dog ear and panel is $400, but I do not believe the whole corners need to be replaced). I do not see or know of any issues with the frame or the structure of the body. Most of the wagon is in very good condition for a 30 year old 4x4. To my knowledge it was not abused living here in the city. I saw it in the drive way almost every day of its 30 years.

The interior is all-original and in fair shape. Its dirty, but cleanable. I would recover the Driver's seat. Its not been cleaned, could be steam cleaned and may look substantially better than the photo's show currently. The floors are in great shape, no rust and have not been replaced. All of the gages, radio, buttons, switches and nobs work and monitor the engine, as they should. The original ignition key works, all the locks are original, work and so they match the ignition key. There is an original and spare key.

The Good: I have the clean no-lein title in hand. All Fluids were replaced with synthetics and I see no leak/spots in my driveway after almost a year. This vehicle was originally bought and dealer maintained by my neighbor here in Northern Virginia. She kept a lot of records and I will pass the folder of receipts. It has always been in her family till she sold it to me last summer. I ordered and replaced a lot of the obvious needed mechanical parts to drive it. All the Glass, Locks and Running gear works well and is functioning, as it should.
