Description

1966 Triumph Spitfire Mk2

Convertible with removable factory hardtop and wire wheels/centers included

I bought this car in October of 1997 and have had it in the barn ever since. Car comes with an original removablefactory hardtop and a set of four wire wheels, hubs and octogan shaped centers.I'm sure it's hard to tell in the pictures because we did not wash the car or anything when it came out of the barn, but it is British Racing Green. It was painted by the PO and trimmed with gold pinstripes down the side. Black interior, some of the rugwas taken out by me previously to get a look at the floors. Car willneed plenty of work to restore it, but this isa rare model of all the Triumph Spitfires produced. Carwill need trailered to its new location, flat tires in the front and the right rear wheel is tight (brakes locked up).

Frame looks ok, other than surface rust. Floors are ok, maybe a little weak but no holes that I saw. Bonnet is in great shape except it looks like it took a thump to the nose previously(see Pic). Trunk floor has been patched by PO with fiberglass; I still see a few pin holes. Missing tail light and marker on the left rear (see pic). Drivers door was hit once, paint cracked when dent was pushed out. Trim is complete, chrome is lightly pitted, car is dirty. Tires are shot. Transmission shifted easily, we turned the engine by hand but we didn't try to start it, but it did run when I bought it. Mechanically, I'm sure it needs gone over. Car can be inspected prior to purchase, just please make an appointment. I will help in any way that I can to facilitate shipping, but all costs and details are left to the Buyer to arrange.

The buy-it-now price may seem high to some, but I am willing to consider offers. Any question, feel free to ask, I will do my best to answer them.
