1967 Triumph GT6 Base 2.0L Running restoration project. NO RESERVE!
Description
I took this '67 Triumph GT6 in as part of a two for one car trade for my '78 Porsche. I kept the other car (72 MGB) but have no time to deal with this car. It is a running car, but needs brake work & restoration. I've never even seen it.
I'm sorry I can't give you a lot of detail about the car, but I can put you in touch with the guy who still has it. He was reluctant to part with it and has offered me cash so he can keep it, but I think its worth a lot more than what he's offering.
It does have the back windows & bumpers & so forth, they're just off in the photos. It does have minor surface rust, but the floor pans & so forth are not rusted out. Original seats are included. There are LOTS of parts, including the headlights & so forth.
Again, I'm sorry I can't give too much detail on this car, if you have specific questions, it may take a while to get answers, please be patient.
It DOES run though, but can't be driven due to the brakes needing work. Actual mileage unknown.
The GT6 is 240 miles from me, so I can't personally go check something for you. We will assist with loading it, but all transportation and pick-up costs are to be paid by the buyer. International bids welcome, but again, all arrangements, fee's duties, taxes, etc. are to be paid by the buyer.
I don't think ebay allows total payment via paypal anymore, so payment will be made via bank transfer. No "bank checks" etc. We will accept a transfer by the banking service WalMart offers though.
Thank you for your interest. This is a cool car, but just not for me. Bid with confidence. 100% seller feedback.
No Buy it Now, but if you REALLY want this car, contact me with your offer, I may agree to it & end the auction.
The car is in Elizabethton, TN & inspections are welcomed & encouraged.
If you have zero feedback, please contact me prior to bidding to explain the zero feedback.
UPDATE REGARDING RUST:
Of course a buyer of a 50 year old car (especially a British car!) would be concerned with rust. Prior to the trade, I too wanted assurance it wasn't a rust bucket. Again, in an email from the previous owner, this is his email reply regarding rust & any history of the car, dated July 24, 2107:
"There is no excessive rust. I'll get pics of the floor & underneath the car. The guy I got it from restores British cars. This was a project that he didn't finish. I've had it for 7mths or so - not sure how long he had it. I got the car in NC."
As soon as I get the photos of the floors and underneath, I'll add them to the posting.
Bid with confidence, this isn't a junk rust bucket.
