Normally when writing a text for a vehicle for sale I try to relay all that has been upgraded, reworked, redone, restored on the car being marketed.I got drunk off the exorbitant amount of service receipts, parts receipts and thousand dollar bills that has been spent on this car to bring it to its current level.I took extra time to photograph the various upgrades on the car so that the pictures tell the story. This car came to me from a club member referral, the owner was 77 years old and could no longer negotiate entry and exit to his beloved TR6,it was time for a new care taker.
When reviewing the 78 pictures posted, note all the rubber bushings that have been replaced on this car-ALL OF THEM! The result is one very tight driving TR6.When the engine was redone they installed a bigger cam,at 2500 rpm it really kicks and off it goes. The Weber upgrade married to the cam gives this car a very special power curve(original Strombergs and intake come with the car).
The car had 56000 miles on it when these beautiful and expensive upgraded gauges were installed, they are from APT INTL,even the clock keeps perfect time. The attention to detail from the longtime owner makes every aspect of this car special.Transmission is quiet and tight, rear suspension is tight,as is the front end components. The seats are as new so is the carpet, top, and dash pad.The body panels are straight as are the body panel gaps. This car shows no indication of accident history or rust repair history.
Review the 78 pictures posted, they tell the story. The part the pictures cannot relay is the beautiful audio sound of the exhaust note, sewing machine smooth engine and the over all thrill of driving such a wonderful well cared for example of the classic British Roadster.
