Solid A/C, overdrive triumph tr6, restoration candidate, Red!
Description
1974 Triumph Tr6 with overdrive and A/c. I think its a great start for a full restoration project. It will need all the usual things you would replace on a car that hasn't seen the road in 14 years Its been long stored, awaiting some new life. Its in really great shape as far as rust goes, a couple of floor patches right where the seats were bolted down is pretty much the only rust repair that is needed. Some rust along the lip of the trunk lid, but you may want to replace that. Overall great lines, gaps and no rust along the body seams. Some vermin have clipped some wires here and there, dash gauges are all present, dash wood needs renew along with all interior vinyl ( leather?) I have not tried to start it, but with a battery the engine turns over with a key turn. Tires hold air, car rolls freely, see that bump in the trunk lid, yes I did that ( DOH!) rolling it off the trailer, I think I expected a bit more rolling resistance. Sounding good so far, so what does it need? Looks like it has run over something, like a parking curb and has a slightly bent front frame on the passenger side. Looking at the car from the front or the back the wheels apear well aligned it looks to sight straight, but a straight edge held on the bottom of the frame shows its not. Tr6 frame specs are measured from the top, at least you would need to get it checked and the welds around the front suspension looked at, just trying to give a compleatly honest description of the car. The rest of the frame looks great with out any of the rust issues that plague tr6's. I have found a front frame section, and will pass along that info. If life would permit and I wish I could, I think its a really great project. I would pull the body, check and repair the frame, clean up and replace what was needed and bolt it back togather and drive it. How far you go from there is up to you, I have lots of pics, and would welcome any inspections, the car is in an easy to access location, minutes off a new highway, for any type of transport . I expect $1000 deposit within 48 hours, through Paypal and complete payment within a week, with cash or certifted funds. Its ok for it to stay here for a few weeks as you work out transport. Reserve the right to cancel bids from bidders w/o any, or poor feedback
