This magnificent Triumph TR-8 has undergone a major restoration. Virtualy every part has been renewed or upgraded. Much of the work was done by the famous Wedge Shop in Massachusetts including the powerful 4.6 litre engine. With headers, four barrel carb and a medium grind cam this car has some 275 horsepower on tap. Performance is incredible. The suspension has been updated with high rate springs, urethane bushings, KYB shocks and struts, 14 inch Panasport wheels with 205 60 R 14 tires. These fat tires fit fine with no rubbing or bottoming and they look fantastic. The car also has oversize 10 1/2 inch Willwood brakes. This car tracks straight as an arrow and can stop on a dime with no fade. The pant job is near show quality. Very minor stone chips on nose. You realy have to look to find them. Super high gloss with just a hint of metalflake. The interior is near flawless. No discernible wear on seats, rugs or doorpanels. All electrics work great except the clock. Cloth top new in 2011 has essentialy no ware is is in perfectcondition. The photos don't do justice to the beauty of this color combination, blue paint with tan top and interior. This car stars easily and runs cool (new three core radiator). It is utterly reliable and the huge torque and 5 speed makes for relaxed cruising or very spirited driving. Last week at a car rally in Virginia I kept pace with a corvetteZO-6 who was trying to show off. The V-8 bark from the exhaust of this little British roadster surprises everyone. By the way I started that event in my xke which promptly overheated in the 96 degree weather. My wife and I limped the big cat home and switched to the Triumph which caught up with the pack and finished the day in style.
