1980 Triumph TR7 Base Convertible 2-Door 2.0L
Description
Good driver. Solid body. No rust. Floors and trunk are solid. No Rust. The car appears to have been treated early on with undercoating so there isno rust on the underside body panels. Exterior is 7/10 some small dings and small scratches. Had some dents on the right rear and front fenders. They have been repaired soo the paint is not all original.
Interior 7/10. brown shag. Seats have small tear near top of shoulder. am/fm radio new speakers, cassette. All lights work except left turn signal on dash.Outside both turn signals work fine. I think replacing a bulb inside the dashwould do it.
2.0 L 4 cylinder. 5 speed.Shifts smoothly and clutch seems strong no slipping. I have driven the car approximately 500 milesthe last month with no problems.. New AutoZone battery. The choke is Fully Automatic Starting Device (FASD). Its still there but not working. Probably needs to be cleaned out. Starts fine but it is rough idle for the first 2 minutes then settles to a smooth idle once warmed a little . Recent oil change 6/11/16. no ac. It was stored 10 years. Says 83k miles.
New front tires, back tires have plenty of tread remaining. Top is in nice condition. Rear windows 80% clear. Top works smoothly. No tears it seals well. 2 sets of keys. Has a good spare tire and jack.
I did post the car early in the month. Icancelled theauction after I found the gas tank leaking when full. Took the tank out and was repaired.
