This 1976 Triumph TR6 is for sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom. The TR6 was a car that Triumph built 1969 to 1976. Though not known for massive amounts of power the TR got by with its carbureted 2.5L inline 6 which was good for about 125 HP. The 125 HP when calculated against the ridiculously low curb weight of just 2400 LBS meant this car from across the pond has one of the best powers to weight ratios seen in 76. Through its seven year run the TR6 would see relatively few changes throughout its production run of nearly 96000 cars with about 90% of those coming to the states. This is one of the 90% that made the journey to come state side. Finished in a gorgeous green paint it is in wonderful condition. All of the sheet metal is in great shape as well with very minimal to no signs of rust to be had anywhere. The luggage rack is an original add on piece and looks great with a brilliant finish to boot. Open the hood and the Torque monster inline 6 looks right at home. The dual carb set up is not only functional but looks great with its nice clean covers which in turn brings out the shine of the original valve cover giving under the hood just enough shine to look good without having to spend more time cleaning it than driving it. The interior is in just as good shape with the leather buckets appearing to be in wonderful condition. The dash is in exceptional shape and as with the rest of the car has been taken excellent care of. The shifter has been placed in the perfect spot with the handle being at the perfect height. With the top down you have the full experience of what a roadster should be. If you are looking for one of the more pleasurable cars to drive you want to act fast as it seems there is a big rush on the European sports cars right now and that usually means price will continue to go up.
