1965 Triumph TR4A IRS with overdrive, commission number CTC50401LO. This is a very early TR4A, built in January 1965.
The car has not been driven since 2012. Enginehas beenstarted and run in July of 2016 with separate electric fuel pump and gas can. Oil pressure is 60 psig at fast idle. Existing fuel in tank and linesneeds to bepurged before mechanical fuel pump can be used.
Brake and clutch master cylinders arenot functionalso car is not roadworthy at this time. Car rolls easily and must be transported on a trailer. Age of tires is unknown but probably more than 7 or 8years.
Rust-through exists on rocker panels and bottom of front wings. Interior floor pans are solid except for driver's side which has a small hole. Passenger side door has dent but is not rusted through.Boot floors are solid.
Wiring condition is fair and all electrical items appear to work except for the wiper motor. Unsure if this isa motor, wiring, or switch issue. Overdrive relay and solenoid will activate but overdrive has not been tested or used since last driven in 2012.
The car is complete and correct with the following notations:
Front bumper is TR6.
Seats are 1969 TR6 with swivel headrests.
Convertible top is missing but the top frame is complete and functional.
Left front wing could be from a TR4 since there is no repeater lamp on this side.
There is some evidence of panel replacement and minor damage seen in inner fenders but frame appears straight with no rust through.
Engine is S/N CT21650E from an early TR4.
Has header rather than stock exhaust manifold.
Includes roll bar which is separate from the car.
The car has a clear Texas Title and is located in the Houston, Texas,area.
