Beautiful 1966 Triumph TR4A IRS for sale! Of the TR4 models, the late TR4A versions with the desirable independent rear suspension (IRS) option are the most collectible. This car is in restored condition, in its original Signal Red color, and had a recent, complete, engine & transmission-out rebuild by famed TR4 specialist, Silver Lake Triumph Centre, over the past winter -- less than 1000 miles on the rebuild! Engine runs strong and idles beautifully. New/overhauled/upgraded items include new clutch, overdrive rebuild (engages like a shotgun!), new reconditioned exhaust manifold, mini alternator conversion, and modern screw-in oil filter conversion. A brand-new convertible top was fitted at the same time to complete the transformation. The original convertible top boot is in excellent condition. The interior upholstery and carpet is all new and in perfect condition, including the wood dash in the correct stained color. Matching wood shift knob and Moto Lita wood steering wheel were added as well (original "banjo" steering wheel comes with the car). New Lucas driving lights are installed on an exceedingly rare chrome bar mount from Victoria British. Period rock guards are installed on the headlights. All lights, switches, and gauges function perfectly. New tires were fitted on the correct silver spoke rims. The car is rust-free and interior metal surfaces were treated with POR15 rust coating for lifetime protection. Body panels fit properly with correct gaps at the doors.
