Description

this is a rare opportunity to buy an original "unmolested" vw split beetle (the most desirable year) in unrestored condition. there is no bondo or filler in this car that I have seen. there is no metal welded on the body that wasn't from the factory. nothing has been done to "conceal" the condition.original wiring is intact. the body and pan match, unlike many cars out there (don't buy one of those as they will never be good investments). The early vw beetle has not yet reached their cap and only recently have started going for more and more money--"split window bugs" are the best VW investment one can make now. i have a clear title to the car and it has been off the road since the 1970s. please read below and ask questions re: condition. car is sold "As-is, Where-is." Buyer responsible for transport either domestically or overseas. Will accept paypal deposit, then cash, certified check, personal check, or wire transfer. the vehicle will not change hands until full payment has cleared. Once non-refundable deposit is taken, buyer has 3 days to send the rest of the funds. Deposit will not be refunded if buyer changes mind or if full payment is not made after 3 days. Car will be relisted if this happens. If you make an offer on the car and I agree to it, then the transaction is done. There will not be an opportunity to re-negotiate after that figure has been agreed upon. Will work with your shipping company if you cannot be present. I encourage anyone to see car in person. I can store the car for a reasonable amount of time out of the weather. Note: i wrote n/a for miles because there is no engine and the odometer numbers are sun-damaged so I cannot read them.READ BELOW:no engine. i bought the car with no engine. drop whatever engine you want in it. the rubber seals on the car seem to be original to 1952. there is not bondo hiding anything. the rust you see is the only rust present. comes with 4 15' vw rims--not those pictured. it has what seems to be the original starter motor (looks like the old type--you would have on an early bug like an oval-53-57). the transmission seems to be the original manual crash non-syncro drum to drum complete with 4 bolt wheel cylinders. the front end seems to be original as well. it has a complete dash minus whatever you want to put in the 2nd pod slot. it originally had a radio. the rear windows seem original (you can't fake a 60+ year old seals), but not marked sekurit. very few original rear glass was marked. the corner windows are marked large logo sekurit. the deck lid is correct as well. the crotch coolers are intact and working--could use some lubing! car will tow behind on all fourwheels/tires or on a tow bar on two. car will need rear passenger floor patched and drivers front floor patched. the correct panels are available. you can sit in the car. i have low back seats to go with the car.
