Description

Today we have one very fine example of a true low mileage classic Beetle. Yes I know there are a lot of them to choose from and those choices can sometimes be hard. Well rest assured with the one you are looking at, this car is rust free and was always rust free other than a little in the pans. The pans were replaced complete no patch panels with a pan off restoration. The heater tubes are solid as well as the frame head. All the normal rust areas were inspected prior to restoration. The mechanicals of this little bug are spot on. Pump the gas one time turn the key and it fires up like a late model fuel injected car. You can say she’s well in tune. Everything is new including the gas tank. The stock 1600 single port was replaced with the later and greater dual port 1600. She’s not even like your typical classic beetle she does not mark her spot, there are no leaks on this one. The factory four speed was kept, and she still rides down the freeway at 70 mph without a struggle. The brakes are new on all four corners as well as the wheel cylinders, and wheel bearings. The front was lowered 2.5 inches with spindles to retain the factory ride. The stock spindles are included with the sale, if you ever decide to go back stock. The 8 spoke Empi wheels are perfect with no scratches or curb rash. The interior was completely reconditioned as well with brand new upholstery on the stock seats. The new deluxe carpet kit was used so all new carpet on the toe board as well as rear firewall. The dash in this little beauty has never been cut for a radio so you will be required to sing to yourself. There just isn’t much to say about the interior other than its in great shape. Now the exterior of this little Beetle is the reason you get more looks than the guy driving that 300k dollar exotic sports car. I literally drove this car to the gas station the other day and had 10 people wave and five people taking pictures at the gas pump. If you don’t like attention then you might not want to buy this little bug. This car had a panel off paint job and was repainted 1975 Porsche Fiesta Orange, a true orange was not available in 1970. The bumpers were removed in favor of the Empi t-bars. Again if you want to return to stock I will include the stock bumper brackets, as well as the rare 1970 only government mandated rear bumper mounted reflectors. They were removed for a cleaner look. All window rubbers were replaced at time of restoration also. The roof rack is included with the sale but my awesome green Samsonite suitcase and surfboard are not included. There is a few paint chips from being driven 800 miles since restoration. There will be a 500 dollar deposit due within 24 hours of auctions end. The remaining payment is to be made in cash or bank wire within 72 hours. This VW will not disappoint the new owner. This is a 47 year old car and will be sold as-is. I have described this car as it sits, if you would like to view prior to auction ending feel free to. If you have any questions feel free to ask, but please ask before auction ends. If you have to ask permission from the spouse, parents, kids, or even the dog please again ask before auction ends. Thanks and Good luck bidding, if you win get ready to attract the attention you deserve.
