Description

I've had this Vanagon since falling in love with it in about 1999 -It was bought it from Long Beach VW and it was in pretty much new condition. I have had it as a second car and have maintained it in excellent condition so it has not had excessive wear and tear. The interior is in great condition. The back section is set up as a camper (the sets lowered to flat). They are in excellent condition, as are the carpets and luggage space cushion. There is an air bed in the back set up for camping -the two passenger seats in front tilt forward giving approx. six and a half feet of stretch-out space. It drive like a charm -good power, no problems.
IT COMES WITH THULE ROOF RACK AND STORAGE SHELL AS WELL AS SIRIUS (THREE BIKE) BIKE RACK.
The milage reads 170k but this is because the mile-ometer always read about 20% faster than actually speed (so I expect actual milage is 20% less), BUT the cable eventually broke about a year and a half ago, I have not put a lot ofmilageon it since (only local runs).
The exterior is in great shape, no significant damage, a few fender cracks (they are fiberglass) and faded paint. The AC belt broke several years ago and I have not had it replaced. There is a small crack on the windscreen -been there for last ten years. The hoses were all done a few years ago. The wheel bearings were all done last year, as was the brakes. It fires up fist time always.
Contact me for more specific questions. My mechanic has looked after this and my other car for many years and I am sure he will be happy to answer any specific questions.
