1984 Volkswagen MK1 Golf GTI

For sale is a very well cared for original MK1 GTI built at VW New Stanton / Westmoreland. All service records from new, including original bill of sale and build sheet. It was adult owned for many years. Approximately 5 years ago I purchased it on eBay as a very good driver. Though it was registered in WI, it was rustproofed and it showed. I had the vehicle stripped to bare metal and the only rust repair involved was replacing the front driver side fender where water had collected in the fender flare. Work performed included a glass out respray, new headliner, new seat fabric (an extra rear seat fabric was sourced), NOS wheels from California as the original ones are very porous, new brake pads/lines, replacement shifter boot and steering wheel, new door seals, window scrapers, car cover, suspension bushings, hatch strut, valve cover gasket, spark plugs, tires w/in the last 1000 miles. I'm probably neglecting some items that were also repaired/replaced. The only issues I am aware of currently are a small scratch on rear hatch and gouge on front bumper as shown in pictures. The shocks could also probably be replaced as they squeak when cold. The rear parcel shelf was cut for speakers. Other than that, the vehicle starts every time and runs/drives great. I do have a short shift kit that will be included but I haven't installed. The odometer appears to have broken a few years prior to my purchase; I believe this to be a fairly common issue.
