Description
Fully Restored 1967 Volkswagen Beetle
The VW Bug is globally famous for its rich history and a design that proved to be so successful it was built for over 60 years. There were multiple variations of the beetle with small adjustments and different trim available throughout the years. Among the decades of changes there are multiple versions and sizes of the air-cooled, porsche designed, flat four cylinder engine. The Volkswagen car community nationwide agrees that the '67 Bug is the most desirable year for its still classic styling (unlike the 1968 - 1979 padded bumpers, smog etc.), its upgraded brakes, its pre-smog for CA, its upgraded sway bars and its 12 volt electrical system. Meanwhile, the 1600cc engine is the most desirable engine configuration for its reliability, power, lack of smog equipment and its twin port cylinder heads. This VW was restored to be the best of best Beetles. This car has a rare combination of engine and trim that makes it a great car that is a sure investment for years to come.
The multiple year restoration started with a rust free complete, running car. Every section, top-to-bottom has been completely restored or replaced. There are too many new parts to list. The 1600cc engine has been completely rebuilt and has a new carburetor(original carb. to go with car), the 12 volt system has a new distributor, new wiring and all new seals. The engine starts at the touch of the key every time and delivers good power off the line! There is no leaking or sign of grime under the car.The brakes have been totally re-done with all new parts and assemblies. The wheels have been restored, with new chrome trim, new center caps, and new tires installed. The body and paint was completed in a striking red and has no dents and shines at any show. All panels were painted including engine bay, door seals, trunk seals/lids, and complete interior and dash. The interior is where the attention to detail during the restoration is obvious. The seats and upholstery is all new, the white perforated headliner is all new, the guages and dash lights are in complete working order and work as they should. The fold-down rear seat and pop out rear windows/seals work well and are all new. The new heater levers, new seatbelts, parking brake and new carpet have been replaced and all work as they should.
Overall, this VW Bug is in absolutely wonderful condition and will make its new owner as happy as it made me for years to come. This Bug is being sold as-is, with no warranty expressed or implied and all inspections completed prior to end of auction. I have lots of spare parts collected over the years of the build included in the sale including fenders, countless trim and chrome, door seals, running boards, interior pieces, lights, and much more. Clean title in hand, ready for sale. Please ask any questions and I encourage you to see her in person! You will not be disappointed.
Good luck, she is being sold at NO RESERVE!!! The highest bid takes her home!
