Description
Up for sale is a 1973 VW Bug
I am selling this for my good friend's Floyd and Edwina.
They do not have a computer or E-Bay.
I have had an E-Bay account for 13 years with 100% feedback, Floyd is 82 and Edwina is 75. Edwina saw the car for sale and loved the color. The VW had memories of her VW that she drove in collage in the sixties, But she found out you cannot carry grandchildren, 2 dogs and baskets of farm produce in it. The person they bought it from owned it for years. He did a great deal of restoration as well as Floyd after the purchase.
In the photo's there is a list of the parts installed by the previous owner in 2013,
There is also a list of parts and labor that Floyd had done in the last 8 months. The rebuilt engine has less than 500 miles, The car was repainted the same color by a (class A body shop), The mileage is what was on the odometer. I see that the previous owner replaced the speed odometer cable. How long before it was replaced is unknown. I put a very moderate reserved on the car. I know Floyd has over 5,000.00 invested, not counting the 2,200,00 the previous owner invested.
They are looking to retrieve some of their money. A car sitting and not driven is not the best.
If you are able, you can inspect and drive the VW while it is up for auction.
Edwina is now driving a mid size SUV that suits her needs.
The state of Georgia does not issue titles for cars 15 years or older,
This vehicle is being sold on a certified notarized bill of sale.
The VW comes with a box of EXTRA new parts.
The parts in the box were all ready put new on the car, found the box after the fact.
I have lowered the reserve considerably. the last auction bids of 4800 and 5200.
the bidders did not follow thru.
