Description

Thank you for looking at my auction. Up for sale is a 1969 VW type 1 Beetle Bug convertible. This car is a restoration project, and in doing so is set it up to be a 50's / Early 60's look, with bucket headlight Fenders, and Brand New $500 "W" Decklid. CAR needs to be completed..
I have done the following. I made a custom rotisserie to mount the body on & you can rotate car from side to side. We had the rusty areas on the car blasted and epoxy Primed. From there I installed the convertible reinforcement rails on lower half of the body and they are welded in place. I cross braced the body inside temporarily so it will not Flex. I cut out and installed the complete rear floor section with a new, [ good ] Mexico quality OEM part...fully welded in place.
I cut off and saved the front clip to mount a 50's-60's new full mid-tank forward clip and have both the old and new front clips with the original matching pan to clip VIN tag. I have a higher quality early 60's rear clip also brand new. The following sheet metal is brand-new, Hood, all Four fenders, I BELIEVE i have new rear 58-61 rear tail lights also, NEW 1957 Look "W" decklid, reinforcement rails, and some minor patch panels that still need to be installed. This car is about 98% rust free. Some very small patch work needs to be done on the lower front inner fender area. The dashboard is not cut up and is original.
I have the bare top frame, the back window, all the window glass / frames for the the doors and quarter panels along with the regulators. Doors are still hung on the car, gaps are excellent. .
I have a 5x130 Porsche disc brake front end upgrade with lowering spindles brand new in the box from Empi.. Depending on the price that can be included..
I also have all the seats both front and rear, they've been covered since I started the project. I have left and right brand new floor pans. I have partially cut out the old floor pans and those need to be installed. The chassis is still rolling with the IRS 4 Lug, 4 speed transmission installed. NO MOTOR. There is NO rust on the doors, door sills, Rear 1/4 Panels or the Door Jambs.... Which is part of the reason I bought this car. I have a pink slip in hand and ready to sell. Any questions let me know.
