Offered for sale is my 1979 Volkswagen Van. I'm not sure there are many things more fun than cruising down the road behind the wheel of a vintage VW Bus. Has the fuel injected 2.0 liter engine and manual transmission. Recently spent over 600 dollars having it tuned up, it starts easily and runs/shifts great. Has a new battery also. I purchased the Bus from Louisiana but prior to my ownership it was sold through a Midwest classic car dealership that purchased it out in California. Accordingly it is not a typical rusty New England bus. Floors, rockers are super solid. It does have the rust spot underneath the windshield which I understand is pretty common with old buses. The pictures do a better and more accurate job describing the body condition of the bus than I could hope to. You can follow the link above to almost 100 pictures. If you'd like a picture of something that is not shown let me know and I will do my best to accommodate. I don't have access to a mechanic's lift so I tried to do the best possible job getting underside pictures. Odometer shows 14921 and has since I've owned it, speedometer does work though.Per my mechanic it will need injectors at some point or you can convert to carburetor (what I planned on doing). Its fine as it sits to cruise around town but you can at times feel the hesitation under acceleration, just trying to be transparent with a potential buyer. All in all, this a great old VW to either drive and enjoy as-is or to do some cosmetic work to and take to the next level if you so desire. Like most older VWs it's far from perfect but it is very cool as it sits and thepossibilitiesare endless. If you're in the market for an old Bus you likely know its hard to find an example that is not already fully restored but is also not a basketcase non-runner like this one. I encourage you to come drive and inspect it in person if you're seriously interested in buying it. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have, just send me a message through Ebay. Please ask questions or address any concerns you might have before bidding, I want the person buying this Volkswagen to know exactly what they are getting. I believe I have the bus priced fairly with consideration to it's condition, reserve is lower than my buy-it-now. Bus is located in Brewster, Ma.
