1979 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Kombi w/ Full POP TOP. I am listing a well-dept, original 1979 VW Camper after 30 years in the family. My father was the second owner. It has been well-maintained, used a few times for trips around California and kept covered in a garage. Over the last ten years it has been resting under a roof in wait for its next owner. The interior is all original and in good condition and the exterior looks good for its age with some small rust spots on the body. The odometer reads 128,100; however I am not sure of the mileage.The camper features a rare full Top Pop that is easy to pop up and the interior was custom made at the time, which really make the Camper more comfortable, offering more standing room, light and an additional sleeping area for two people on top—see the pictures. The engine runs well.It has fuel injection and starts up right away. It’s a reliable old engine, 4 cylinders, manual transmission and 2.0 liters, which is more powerful than most older VW campers that are 1.6 liter.
