Description

Nearly fully restored VW truck that includes lots of modifications and upgrades. I'm selling this Caddy as is. The work that's left on it includes the HVAC ductwork, instrument panel mounting, and switch wiring. I'm including lots of parts, some factory-new, old-stock parts. The pickup drives solid. I recently drove it from San Francisco to Portland.
It's perfect for someone who's mechanically inclined to customize the duct work and wrap up the dashboard installation. If you're not looking for a project, please don't bid on this vehicle. Here's what the pickup includes.
  • Low-milage (~75,000 miles) 1.9 IDI (indirect injection, not a TDI) turbodiesel engine from Germany (VW engine code AAZ)
  • 5-speed manual transmission
  • Registered in Oregon through December 2018
  • Complete color change to Mercedes silver
  • Upgraded dash from Rabbit Convertible/Cabriolet (in progress)
  • Leather seats from a Corrado (with functioning lap belts only; includes other seat belts for you to install)
  • Power windows
  • New windshield with new factory gasket
  • Upgraded seats from Corrado
  • Dynamat sound deadening throughout
  • New Rhino Liner bed liner
  • Rear sliding window with new factory gasket
  • Front wing windows with new factory seals
  • Reconditioned GTI wheels and new(ish) Bridgestone tires (~5,000 miles on them)
  • New custom interior: door cards, low-pile, European-style carpet, and headliner
  • New 2" custom exhaust
  • Bilstein struts and shocks
  • Biodiesel-compatible fuel lines
  • Blue Ox baseplate for towing behind your RV
Items to disclose:
  • Before the restoration, the side panels included moldings. The driver's front fender now has minor paint blisters where the holes for the molding mounts were.
  • All dashboard wiring needs to be spliced for the upgraded dash from the Cabriolet.
  • Dashboard requires customization for proper fitting.
  • VIN is newly reissued, because I no longer have the badge from the original dashboard.
  • Before the restoration, minor electrical fire in the engine compartment. So you'll notice some new wires where the fire occurred.
  • Doesn't include power steering or air conditioning.
