Description

Youre bidding on a one of a kind 67' Bug, frame-off restoration that has been built brand new from the floor pans up. The undercarriage is just as nice as the interior and exterior. Everything is new. And I mean EVERYTHING!!
I bought this car from a guy that had it built, and I lost contact with him before getting the build sheet on the engine, which is a bit discouraging to me; however, based on how top notch everything else is on the vehicle, I take his word on the engine as well.
1835cc with a Rajay VW Oldstyle Turbo Setup, which works flawlessly. Has a wastegate setup which reduces strain on the Turbo as well as the seals. Its a little cold natured but once it warms up it runs great. It has approximately 150 HP with 11 Lbs of boost and will pull up to 15 Lbs with no problem. The intercooler setup is second to none. In 95 degree weather, the oil temp never gets over 200 degrees, which is amazing. It has the upgraded bigger oil pan setup, with oil filter as well. New axle and axle boots, High performance clutch. Super smooth shifting close ratio transmission. 4 wheel disc brakes. All gauges work as they should- Lights, Horn, E Brake, etc. Car drives and rides like a little rally car, very tight. Super fun car to drive.
The exterior paint job is very nice. Not a perfect showcar quality "10", although it appears so to the average eye, but it is a solid "8". Headlights have been upgraded to Halogen lights. Taillights were changed to 69 taillights. The 4 fenders are fiberglass as well as the hood to create the this look they were going for.
The interior is all new as stated, and has optional pop-out windows as well. All new rubber and chrome on the whole car.
Even though there is a 1/2 roll cage in the car, and it is extremely Fast for a bug, it is not a race car by any means. This car is truly set up to be a daily driver with little to no maintenance.
The only thing that does not work on the car is the windshield wipers, and of course it does not have heat because of the turbo setup.
If you're looking for a unique, fun, fast, head turning bug, don't let this one get away. There is a lot of time and money in the car, and it is not priced cheap, but I feel the reserve is extremely fair.Happy Bidding.
