A great all-round example of the classic 1986 VW Westfalia Vanagon. Having been primarily used and stored at high altitude there is virtually no rust (except where shown in photos). As expected for a van of it's age there are a few items which need fixing but which can be solved very easily and cheaply.
Below is a list of whats good and what needs attention.
Good stuff...
Chassis Good with no rust
No roof or window leaks
Transmission good
Clutch good
Interior condition good
4 x good types
120v plug-in cable included
Camp table and chairs included
Leisure batt and install kit included but not installed
Stove is goodWater tap works
Minimal body rust (see pics)
engined serviced and in good working order.
Not so good stuff...
MP3/SD stereo needs fixing
Front blower needs fixing
Fridge needs service
Ac needs re-installing.
Cruise control not working
Minor tear in pop top canvas, repair kit included.
Milometer stopped at 240k miles so exact total mileage unknown but suspected to be around 250k
I've listed some basic condition items above but overall this is a great working van and can be driven away for immediate use. It's the 2.1L GL 2WD which is slower than other models of this age but the van doesn't have a problem getting you where you need to go.
Parts for these vehicles are easy to obtain, inexpensive and easy to fix yourself, with plenty of online tutorials available for for amateur mechanics to follow.
The front blower and stereo are easy fixes and I'd be happy to get these sorted if the right buyer comes along. Generally speaking this vehicle can be driven away and used and enjoyed for many years to come as it is or with a little extra spending you can get it to perfect working condition.
Please feel free to contact me to discuss specific details, arrange a visit and/or make an offer.
Many Thanks
Oli
