Description

I am selling this vehicle for a friend. The Van is an original 1974 Volkswagen Bus. VIN # 2242073423. Clear title and current California License Plates. This Bus was restored with a rebuilt 1600 engine and has 200+ miles and starts right up drive anywhere. Tires new size P205/75 R14, (no spare). The Bus is painted original colors in 2015. The transmission was also tuned up and rebuilt it has 100+ miles. Original accessory roof rack installed. The restoration of the door panels and seats and upholstery was done with non-OEM parts and materials. The sliding door does not close all the way will need adjusting and a new lock. This Van is listed also for sale locally so I reserve the right to close the auction prior to close of auction. The suspension and shocks are all in good condition. The body has no dents and and the bottom frame appears to have no bends or dents to indicate an accident in it's history.Whats WrongThe antenna is missing, windshield wipers missing, door to the motor compartment needs adjustment, leaking a couple of drops of motor oil and according to mechanic his opinion is that the Volkswagenhadn't been driven much prior to rebuilt motor added.There are small detail items that need attention such as some knobs missing, door locks, door and window latches. Window locks but some need adjustment or replacement.Gas hose leading to gas tank needs to be tightened at the other end. All glass is original. The rubber seals on the four large windows on the side and front are new.The window seals were replaced but not a very good job.The rest are in good condition.Closing of Auction InformationI will assist with your transportation vendor at your cost in loading and shipping this Van to you. The winner of the auction will need to deposit$500at the close of the auction. A wire deposit for the remaining full amount to be completed 5 days after close of auction.
